Arctotis - They have alternate leaves, usually toothed or deeply cut, and handsome, long-stalked, blue, yellow, or orange heads with both ray and disk flowers. There are two most popular varieties: A. stoechadifolia ; A. breviscapa.

Description
Arctotis is a genus of about 40-50 species of flowering plants. These annuals and tender perennials are native to southern Africa, from South Africa north to Angola and belong to the Daisy family Asteraceae. They grow 1 to 2½ feet high, usually have fuzzy leaves and produce single-stemmed flowers, 2 inches across, in most colors except blue.Flowering will begin in June and in favorable climates will continue into September, as long as the faded blooms are removed.Seeds will germinate in 10 days.Excellent as cutflowers even though the blooms close at night. Full sun is required.
