Medicinal Uses of Litchi

Litchi is a tropical fruit tree native to southern China. It is also commonly found in Madagascar, India (Muzaffarpur), Bangladesh, Pakistan, southern Taiwan, northern Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Southern Africa. It is a Medicinal plants, provide meaningful inputs for drugs.

  • Common  Cold

Material:  Litchi, 30 g; Cooking wine, some.
Preparation:  Remove the skin of litchi, add into water, drop some cooking wine, Boil it.
How to use
: Drink as tea, two to three times a day.

  • Asthma

Material:  Litchi, 50 g; Red tea, or black tea, 10 g.
Preparation:  Add into 300 ml boiled water for 5 min.
How to use: Drink as tea, two to three times a day.

  • Stomach pain (1)

Material:  Litchi, five; liquor, 50 ml.
Preparation:  Remove litchi skin, add into the liquor, add water to about 500 ml, boil for 10 min.
How to use: Drink as tea, two to three times a day. This is one-day dose.

  • Stomach pain (2)

Material:  Litchi core, 100g; old orange skin, 10g.
Preparation
:  Dry the two, grind into powder.
How to use: Drink as tea, two to three times a day. 10 g each time.

  • Stomach pain (3)

Material:  Litchi core, 100g; costas (mu xiang), 50g.
Preparation:  Dry the two, grind into powder.
How to use
: Drink as tea, two to three times a day. 3 - 6 g each time.

  • Hiccup

Material:  Litchi, seven.
Preparation:  Dry the whole litchi and grind into powder with the litchi skin.
How to use
: Mix with water to drink. Once a day.

  • Chronic diarrhea (1)

Material:  Dried Litchi, 30 g, hyacinth bean (bian dou), 30 g.
Preparation:  Cook the two in water until eatable.
How to use: Eat the bean and drink the soup every day.

  • Chronic diarrhea (2)

Material:  Dried Litchi, seven; Chinese date (da zao), five.
Preparation:  Cook the two in water until eatable.
How to use: Eat the bean and drink the soup, twice a day. Note, this formula is not suitable for those who have too much dry mouth, fever, since it belongs to warm therapy. Ask your doctor.

  • Chronic diarrhea (3)

Material:  Dried Litchi, 50 g; Chinese Yam, 20 g; lotus 20 g; rise, 20g.
Preparation:  Grind the litchi, Chinese yam and lotus into small pieces. Cook all in water to soft. Then add rise in it continue to cool until the rise is eatable too.
How to use: Eat half in the morning and half in the evening. This formula is good for Kidney deficiency. You can get the Chinese Yam, lotus in Chinese herbal shops. They are Chinese herbs but also common food too.

  • Chronic diarrhea (4)

Material:  Litchi shell, 10 g; dark plum (wu mei), 10 g; pomegranate (shi liu), 10g.
Preparation:  Cook the three in water for 20 min.
How to use: Drink the soup. You can get the dark plum, pomegranate in Chinese herbal shop, or come to us.

  • Anemia (all kinds)

Material:  Litchi, 50g; rise, 50 g.
Preparation:  Cook the two in water until it eatable.
How to use: Eat the soup in the morning and at night.

  • Anemia (due to loss of blood)

Material:  Litchi, seven; Chinese date, seven.
Preparation:  Cook the two in water until it eatable.
How to use
: Eat the soup in the morning and at night.

  • Headache

Material:  Litchi, 15 g; Gamdir Vine, Ur (Gou Ten), 12 g, rock sugar, 9 g.
Preparation:  Cook the three in water for 30 min.
How to use: Drink the soup, twice a day after meal.

  • Palpitation

Material:  Litchi, 50g; Lotus, 30 g.
Preparation
:  Cook the three in water for 30 min.
How to use: Drink the soup, twice a day after meal.

  • Neck lymphoid tuberculosis

Material:  Litchi, five; marine alga, 15 g; kelp, 15g.
Preparation
:  Cook the three in water for 30 min.
How to use: Drink the soup and eat all,  twice a day after meal.

  • Chronic colon inflection (irritable bowel syndrome)

Material:  Litchi, 30g; hyacinth bean (bian dou), 20 g, (dry fried).
Preparation:  Cook the three in 300 ml of water to boil for 10 min, then low fire until the water volume down to 100 ml.
How to use: Drink the soup all once. Every 15 days as one healing period.

  • Hyperthyroidism

Material:  Litchi, 5g; green tea leaves, 5 g, apricot kernel (xing ren), 10g, rock sugar, 5g.
Preparation:  Cook the four in 300 ml of water to boil for 10 min, then low fire until the water volume down to 100 ml.
How to use: Drink it as tea every day. Continue for 15 days.

  • Too much bleeding in women circles (over menstruation)

Material:  Litchi, 30g.
Preparation:  Cook in water for 5 min.
How to use: Drink it as tea every day. Continue for 15 days.

  • Hiccup

Material:  Litchi, several.
Preparation:  Burn the whole litchi (with the shell) into ash. Grind into powder.
How to use: Drink the powder with water.

  • Acute bruise on lower back

Material:  Litchi core, 60g; pangolin scales (zhi chuan sha jia), 15g; little cooking wine.
Preparation: Grind the litchi core and the pangolin scales into powder.
How to use: Drink the powder, 9 g each time, twice a day, with the help of  little cooking wine (about one tea spoon, or about 10 ml). You can have the pangolin scale powder from us.

  • Bleeding due to knife or other kind of cut

Material:  Litchi core, 60g; dried longan culp (gui yuan rou), 60 g.
Preparation: Grind the two into powder.
How to use: Apply on to the bleeding spot.

  • Swelling on testis and surrounding tissue

Material:  Litchi (with the shell and the core), 15g; aniseed (xiao hui xiang), 15g.
Preparation: Dry the litchi, grind the two into powder.
How to use: Drink the powder, 9g each time, before going to bed.
