Mango Mealybug (Drosicha mangiferae) is the common name of insects in Pseudococcidae, a family of unarmored scale insects found in moist, warm climates. They are considered pests as they feed on plant juices of greenhouse plants, house plants and subtropical trees. It is a serious pest on mango. The nymphs damage sap from tender shoots and inflorescence. In case of severe infestation, the inflorescences dry up and the young fruits fall easily. |
