Entada rheedii is a large woody liana or climber. Its leaves are dried and smoked to induce vivid dreams. Its seeds are found on east and southern African beaches, having grown on river and estuary banks and in swamp forest.

Embelia ribes  is a large  scandent shrub. It is a creeper which has a brittle stem. Their leaves are ovate in shape having both the ends sharp. It is about 3 inch long and 1 ½ inches broad, shiny and nodulated.

Digera muricata is an annual herb, growing to 20-70 cm tall. It can be seen growing wild in waste areas. Their stems are simple or branched from the base, nearly hairless.

Desmodium pulchellum is an erect undershrub, 0.5-1.5 m tall. Their leaves are 3-foliate. Leaflets are finely hairy beneath, the middle one being oblong, 8-13 cm long and more than twice as large as the lateral ones.

Desmodium gangeticum is a sub-tropical perennial spreading herb that grows in dry hilly areas. It is a small plant that has a height of 2 to 4 feet. Their stem angular. Leaves are ovate in shape that is 3 to 6 inch in length.
