Datura metel grows in the wild in all the warmer parts of the world, and is cultivated worldwide for its chemical and ornamental properties. It is an annual herb growing up to 3 ft. high.

Dalbergia sissoo is a medium to large deciduous tree. It can grow up to a maximum of 25 m in height and 2 to 3 m in diameter, but is usually smaller. Trunks are often crooked when grown in the open.

Curcuma zedoaria (Zedoary) is the name for a perennial herb and member of the genus Curcuma. It is a rhizome that grows in tropical and subtropical wet forest regions.

Curcuma aromatica is an aromatic and pretty ginger with stout underground rhizomes. Foliage dies down in late in autumn and the rhizomes remain dormant in winter. The inflorescence appears in early spring from the base of the rhizome.

Curcuma longa (Turmeric) is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family. Plants are gathered annually for their rhizomes, and re-seeded from some of those rhizomes in the following season.
