Description: Ardisia solanacea is a genus of flowering plants. It is a glabrous shrub or small tree that will reach 20 feet tall in nature. Glossy leaves are up to 6 inches long by 2 inches wide. Flowers are 1.5-2 cm across, pink or pinkish- white, in axillary, corymb-like racemes, shorter than the leaves. Fruit is 7-13 mm in diameter, depressed-round, black with pink juice when ripe, tipped by style base, supported on persistent sepals. Ardisia solanacea need partial shade with a moist rich soil.
