Scientific Name : Allium sativum Chemical constituents : Garlic contains Allicin(antibiotic) and Phytoncidea (anti-fungal compound). It also contains alliin, ajoene, enzymes, vitamin B, minerals, and flavonoids. Uses : Garlic's most common uses as a dietary supplement. Garlic is also used to prevent certain types of cancer, including stomach and colon cancers. Garlic is used as a carminative, aphrodisiac, expectorant, and stimulant.
